Christner's aka Del Frisco's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have always loved eating out but doing so with Celiac is a whole new challenge. For Valentine's, we had a reservation at Christner's and I was really looking forward to it. A restaurant of that caliber I hoped would have a staff ready to assist wth dietary restrictions.

The waiter assigned to our table was extremely empathetic as I explained to him I'd recently been diagnosed and wasn't sure about what I could and couldn't have just yet. He checked on many options for me throughout the dinner, first verifying the blue cheese on their wedge salad was safe. It was, but the dressing was not and he quickly suggested a substitution.

He brought out a big loaf of fresh baked bread for the table and jokingly said, "I usually tell people to enjoy but for you, I feel like I should say DON'T EAT IT."

The appetizers were limited but the salad was amazing and the bartender came over personally to help me choose a drink. I went with a glass of the house Riesling which was one of the best I've had.

I had a tuna steak as my entree (minus the sauce) and chateau potatoes as a side, both amazing and full of flavor.

As the meal came to an end, our waiter came over and explained he had checked and double checked but there was not a safe dessert they could offer. That was a little disappointing as it was a special night out, but overall the meal was amazing and the staff extremely helpful. If you're not a terribly picky eater, you will definitely have a couple of nice options. Just plan on finding a fro-yo place after for dessert!
